Jon and Amy Kubas are the owners of The Westwinds Group, L.C., a real estate investment and management company located in Houston, Texas. They have been investing in Houston since 1990, primarily in single family houses.

Jon and Amy lived in Maryland and were married in 1982 just after Jon graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. That same year, they started, owned and operated a large commercial construction company that specialized in interior construction, which grew to over 100 employees by 1988. Jon was on the Board of Directors and a Vice-President for the Metropolitan Subcontractors Association, and was a long time member of the Associated Builders and Contractors. He was also a licensed Real Estate Broker in Maryland prior to receiving his Texas Real Estate Brokers License. Besides running the construction business, Jon and Amy bought and sold many houses in Maryland before relocating to Houston permanently in 1991 to invest in real estate full-time. Jon currently holds a Texas Real Estate Brokers License, Texas Mortgage Brokers License and is a Notary Public for the State of Texas.
After arriving in Houston, Jon became active in the Realty Investment Club of Houston, first as a member of the Board of Directors and then as its President for four years, from 1993-1997. During his tenure, he helped grow the membership to over 500 investors, and often spoke and taught other investors on "How to Buy Houses and Provide Solutions to Sellers."
Amy has worked with Jon since they were married in both the construction business and the real estate investment business. She has handled all aspects of the business, including marketing, sales, acquisitions, research, insurance, accounting, secretarial duties, and many other office functions. She has also spoken with Jon to many real estate investment groups and they are recognized as experts on both the local and national level regarding real estate investing. Most recently, Amy was a speaker for the "Wild, Wonderful Women of Real Estate", a group of top female speakers that travel the country giving a woman's perspective on Investing in Real Estate. Since arriving in Houston, Jon and Amy have bought and sold over 400 houses.
Jon and Amy live in Northwest Houston and are blessed with two wonderful children, Steven and Kimberly, and are proud and active members of Fellowship of the Woodlands.
